Kevin gave excellent customer service. He threw me countless discounts and free miles. Brand new 2017 truck for 1/4 of the price of everyone else. I'd definitely recommend this location.
I took off one star because the interior of the car needed more cleaning but we had time to do it at our house and we are a little picky like that.
If you want problems, rent a car through Budget American Fork. I have had a terrible experience here. It is a franchised location, and therefore no one at corporate can fix any of the problems I am now facing, and I'm left stranded. They are understaffed, uncaring, and unresponsive.
Andre also gave me some great recommendations of places to stop at during my travel. I would highly recommend renting a car from this location. Great cars and great customer service!
If you want a good experience, go elsewhere. If you want great customer service, go elsewhere. If you want your credit card to be locked up because the associates can't do their jobs, or want to be sent on a wild goose chase an hour off course for a vehicle they promised they had reserved, or otherwise just ignored, then this is the place for you.
It all started 9 days ago when I called about my reservation for a full-size pickup and they told me they had 4 trucks on the lot, and there would definitely be one for my reservation the next morning. I show up less than 24 hours later, and there are no full-size pickups. They say I can wait 5 hours to get one, and it won't be cleaned or anything, it will just be given to me. After some discussion and my reminder that I am getting what I reserved, they tell me to drive to the SLC Airport and that I could get a truck there. Again, throwing my plans off because they can't seem to understand the term "reservation" and what that means. I feel a little like Jerry Seinfeld if you know what I mean.
The car was ready for us to take when we arrived. It worked great. When we came back from our trip he asked if everything went ok and I only mentioned we had to buy window washing fluid and he gave a $5 discount without me even asking. This service desk guy I think is the manager. He was really nice and efficient.
I got the truck at the airport, used it as planned for the day, returned it to the American Fork Center as discussed, and all is well...or so I hoped. Now it's been 8 days since the evening return I made, and the full charge STILL IS ON MY ACCOUNT. I have been paying bills with that credit card, buying necessities, etc., and now I see that it says I've over-drafted because the full price of the rental and the extra hold they've made are still sitting on my account. I've called no less than 10 times, left two messages, and still have not received a reply.
We were soooo happy with our experience! If you need to rent a car, ask for Andre! My husband and I couldn't decide on a vehicle for our road trip but Andre was very patient and professional and really took the time with us. It's rare to find someone at a car rental place with such good customer service skills. Andre made all the difference for us! I would highly recommend working with Andre for your next car rental! He was amazing!
My experience at the Budget location was top notch. Andre was very friendly and patient as I selected my car. They had a great selection of vehicles and he walked me through all of the features. In fact I ended up purchasing the same model of car that I rented.
