This is a great place to get a haircut. I've been going here for nearly two years and they've done a good job every time. They are super patient with my lack of knowledge of hair stuff and vague requests. The manager and owner are both great, and everyone is always kind. Awesome new location, too!
When I went in the next day to reslove the issue I did get a stylist that would listen and said that they could fix it but it would take more time to do so, I spent 2.5 hours there the day before, I told here I didn't have any free time other than yesterday that is why I came in yesterday, she said she would have her manage call me back later that day, here I am a week later, multiple phone resets just to make sure I am not missing a message from them and still no call from a manager. So much for their customer satisfaction guarantee that is hanging to the left of the register. So if your are up to waisting 2.5 hours of your time, my hair is about jaw length so I am not sure how long it would take if yours is longer or what it would cost, and spending over $100 for a messed up job that the stylist didn't even ask what I usually have done, she only asked if I pulled well, then come here.
I love Fantastic Sams! This is a new location for me and it's always scary to get your hair cut by a stranger. My daughter cut her hair and the had to cut all of it into a cute bob. They did an awesome job.
I've had good experiences at this salon in the past, but I will never go back. I have very curly hair that is also thin, and I know exactly how I want it cut--generally it's pretty difficult to mess up. I told the stylist exactly what I wanted, but she told me she didn't think it was cute when curly hair doesn't have enough layers. Knowing my hair, I told her lots of layers were a bad idea, but she proceeded to give me the largest layers I've ever received, despite my requests. I had to go to another stylist to get it fixed. Over 8 months and 3 haircuts later, I'm still growing them out. She was also highly condescending the entire time about my hair texture. I've never been treated so rudely in a salon.
If you are looking for somewhere to display prices and discounts and not give them to you at the register this is the place. They advertised 10% off hair coloring and $12.99 haircuts and charged my full priced for a botched hair coloring job, then charged me $26.99 with a discount of $3.05 for a cut and hair drying, that I didn't ask for nor was my hair dried all the way and the stylist continued to cut it after this point so I had semi dried hair with pieces of cut up hair all over it in.
I called to make an appointment and one of the stylist answered. I told her I wanted to make an appointment and she said hold on a minute. She never pickup up the phone again. When I called back I was told she was nowhere around. I made an appointment with this stylist that answered the phone. I arrived 5 minutes early. No one greeted me when I came in and waited at the reception desk even though there were 6 or 7 stylist there. I finally took a seat and waited. After a while a man came in, walked in with no appointment, and they took him back to get his hair cut. After waiting some more I went back to the reception desk and got the attention of one of the stylist and she finally came over and asked what I wanted. I told her I had an appointment but felt like I was being ignored. She asked my name and then studied the computer for a little while and then said she was sorry but they had forgotten about me but they would put me next on the list. I said not to put me on any list because I already waited to long being ignored and I started to leave but before I could even turn around this stylist had already started to walk away from me. They might have been busy but that was no excuse for hanging up the phone on me or ignoring me when I came in or not listing to my complaint about waiting so long. Bad customer service all the way around. I had always left a tip for the stylist that did my hair before so I don't think that was the reason for the bad service.
In a service industry that is not how it is done. If you want clients coming back you respond to their complaints, their personal complaints. The way things are done comes from the top down, and to me it seems that the top isn't looking for customer satisfaction they are looking for, honestly I am not sure what they are looking for.
I am please with my hair cut, I had been here before and got my hair cut and had not complaints that is why I went back. However after this experience I am very dissatisfied with everything else. I will not be going back to this facility nor do I recommend it to anyone else.
***I just got, it wouldn't let me write a seperate review, done reviewing the other reviews and I find it strange that the owner of this establishment has only responded to the reviews that have been made about the physical location of the building or the way the interior of the site looks, he/she doesn't seem to care about those of us who really have had issues with the service that has been provided at this said facility and have acually gone in to try to have something done about it.
